L Ron Hubbard was born into a military family in 1911 and spent the majority of his childhood traveling the world with his parents. After failing out of college, L Ron started writing for pulp fiction magazines. In 1950, L Ron’s book titled “Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health” was published. This book would become the basis of the religion and alleged cult, Scientology. This episode covers the background of founder L Ron Hubbard, but is only the beginning of this crazy story.
