We usher in what is technically the first week of the winter season with a mercifully short episode for a change. It's just under an hour! AMAZING! Since most shows from fall were done and the majority of winter shows hadn't aired yet, we padded the episode out a bit with reviews of the first two episodes of Yamato 2199 and the first Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt OVA. Considering all of us on Bakacast are sci-fi nerds, both of those shows being very good made us quite happy. It certainly makes up for KyoAni going from the critically-acclaimed Sound Euphonium to the dreck that is Musaigen no Phantom World.
