Episode 286: A Chat about Lost and Found with Suzanne Woods Fisher

Listen Later

Whew! We're back! I was supposed to take 2.5 weeks of December off, but my husband's accident on December 1, ended the podcast for the year, so I'm playing catch-up on a few episodes!  Apologies to Suzanne Woods Fisher for being so late with it, but hey! I had a great time chatting with her about her newest release, Lost and Found, and also about upcoming releases. Listen in to see what's here and what's coming!

What Do Amish Troubles, Ice Cream, and Flowers Have in Common?

Suzanne is always a lot of fun to talk to. Her gentle wisdom, her great sense of humor, and her love of the Lord and His creation... well, you'd almost think she was Amish if you think of her that way.  But instead, she takes her love of the best things in Amish life and brings them to the table in rich stories of faith, love, and wisdom.  What more could you want?

In Lost and Found, we learn about Micah's (whom we met in A Season on the Wind) dilemma and see where his heart may be taking him as well as where his bishop might be leading them.

She also told us about her upcoming addition to the Cape Cod Creamery series, Love on a Whim and I don't know about you, but I'm excited for it! Another super-cute cover as well!

And then we got an update on another series of novellas--A Year of Flowers!  WHEEEEEEE!!!  An Apology in Bloom is already up for preorder (got mine!!)

Lost and Found by Suzanne Woods Fisher

Trudy Yoder shares a passion for birding with Micah Weaver--and she has an even greater passion for Micah. Their friendship is finally turning romantic when Micah abruptly grows cold. Worse still, he wants to leave Stoney Ridge.

Micah Weaver thought he was over Trudy's older sister. A year and a half ago, Shelley had broken his heart when she ran away from Stoney Ridge to pursue a singing career in Nashville. Then, out of the blue, she's started to leave distressing phone messages for him.

When the bishop asks for volunteers to scout out a possible church relocation in Tennessee, Micah is the first to raise his hand. Despite scant details, he's confident he can find Shelley. After all, his reputation as a field guide is based on finding birds that don't want to be found.

What Micah doesn't know is that what you're looking for isn't always what you find.

Lost and Found is still 30% off at BakerBookHouse.

You can learn more about Suzanne from her WEBSITE.  Also, follow her on BookBub and GoodReads.

And her book recommendation, The Well Lived Life is on sale right now. Hardcover on Amazon, so... just pointing that out.
