Hello again, friends! Thanks for joining me on Strong and Courageous. Today’s story is about the prophet Elijah.
Elijah was having a really hard time. He had been brave for God, but now he was tired, scared, and hiding in a cave. He wanted to hear from God. Then something amazing happened. First, there was a powerful wind. But God wasn’t in the wind. Then there was a big earthquake. But God wasn’t in the earthquake. Then came a fire. But God wasn’t in the fire either. Finally, Elijah heard a gentle whisper—and that’s where God spoke.
Here’s what we can learn: Sometimes we expect God to speak in big, loud, exciting ways. But often, He speaks quietly to our hearts when we slow down and listen.
Here’s your challenge: Find a quiet moment today—maybe before school or before bed. Turn off the noise, sit still, and just listen. You might not hear a whisper with your ears, but you can listen with your heart and remember God is with you.
This isStrong and Courageous. Take time to listen for God’s whisper today.
