The prophets Elijah and Elisha are significant in the Old Testament. In many ways, the works of the prophets - miracles, teachings, and behavior - point to God's way of dealing with human beings, both in justice and mercy. Elijah and Elisha teach us to always be willing to listen to God's voice and God's call. God is always speaking. We're not always listening.
Scripture References:
1 Kings 19: 9-21
John 10: 3-5
