Ashton is joined by Dr Peter Pry, the Executive Director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, Director of the U.S. Nuclear Strategy Forum, Chief of Staff of the Congressional EMP Commission and former intelligence officer for the CIA.
Ashton and Dr. Pry have an extraordinary discussion centering on the biggest threats to US national security. In particular, Ashton and Dr. Pry focus on the completely overlooked threat of Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) attacks, whereby an enemy nation, or even a single terrorist, can annihilate the US electrical grids and subsequently cause the deaths of tens of millions of Americans.
Ashton and Dr. Pry also discuss the poor state of America’s nuclear arsenal and the threats posed by the much more advanced and sophisticated hypersonic missiles and third generation nuclear warheads from China and Russia (which render America’s defenses useless).
