The race for the top and the race for the bottom stay close after this weekend's Bundesliga action.
In the Bundesliga, Bayern München got revenge on Freiburg for ousting them from the DFB-Pokal cup competition, prompting Josuah Kimmich to provocatively cheer in front of Freiburg's home fans. Dortmund are still in the race, but have to hope for Bayern to stumble one more time en route to their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title.
In the lower ranks of the table there were a lot of duels to get clear of the relegation spots and Hoffenheim and Stuttgart came out as the winners, dragging Bochum back down and putting Schalke back at the bottom of the table.
