Kosha Tucker is a Staff Attorney with the ACLU of Georgia’s Smart Justice Campaign, an initiative to end mass incarceration and reduce racial disparities in the criminal justice system. Prior to joining the ACLU, Kosha worked for six years as an Attorney at the Dekalb County Public Defender’s Office in Georgia, where she represented children and adults charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses.

In part one, growing up in the small town of Louisburg, North Carolina; how Kosha learned about being Black from her father; and an inside look at the racial disparities of the criminal justice system.
