After not taking off as a science, L. Ron used the basis of “Dianetics” to form his own religion, Scientology. This religion offered “auditing” sessions meant to rid an individual of any negative influences from both their past and present lives. L. Ron became rich off of the proceeds from his religion and the government soon caught on. L. Ron spent his last years on earth in hiding and passed away on January 24, 1986.
