Sofia chats with the FABTASTIC Troy Iwata (The Boy Who Danced On Air, Ordinary Days, Island Song, currently Be More Chill Off-Broadway)!!! Troy recently made his Off-Broadway debut as Paiman in The Boy Who Danced On Air, which is set to release a cast album on September 21st produced by Broadway Records! He is currently a swing and understudy for the roles of Michael, Rich and Jake in Be More Chill, which will transfer to Broadway this coming February. Troy is a writer and producer as well, earning critical acclaim for his award-winning short “Probably”. He recently starred in the new TV pilot Truth Slash Fiction, which has trended #1 worldwide on Twitter and won “Best Comedy” at SeriesFest and ITVFest. Troy has also been featured in the original cast recording of Island Song. Sofia and Troy chat about taking on three extremely different roles in Be More Chill, why he appreciates Michael Mell, his Dubsmash expertise, his role in The Boy Who Danced On Air, his reaction to The Phantom of the Opera, his childhood in California and more!
