Episode 29: When Hockey Hurts

Listen Later

It’s Canada’s Game, but in recent months and years some of its traditions have been challenged by players and in the court of public opinion. Daniel Carcillo has been at the forefront of two of those discussions: concussions and hazing.
Carcillo joins Jeff and Stephen to discuss his life on and off the ice, including the $18.9-million concussion settlement the NHL and 318 former players have tentatively reached and his experiences of abuse while a rookie with the OHL’s Sarnia Sting.
This episode was produced by Ryan Walsh and sound engineered by Amil Delic, and hosted by Stephen Brunt and Jeff Blair.
Audio Credits: ABC Sports, CBC, CityNews, Fox Sports, MSG, NBC, Sportsnet, The Jim Rome Show and The Players’ Tribune.
