Episode 29.15 Brain Drain 2: Prevention & Warning Signs - Part XV

Listen Later

Welcome to Part XV of our sequel series about how to escape and stay free from sabotaging influences.

Is it really such bad thing to make decisions based on emotions? What should you do when someone "shows up" in your life that seems to have the answers to what you've been wanting and missing?

We get told a lot of things about our emotions and desires, which are most often referred to as our "heart". Some schools of thinking treat the "heart" as a weakness and as if emotions especially are nothing but a hindrance. Others believe that following our heart is the most significant thing about life as a human being. However, both of these ways of thinking leave us highly susceptible to manipulation. Listen in to this episode to learn:

1. how to stay out of being easily manipulated through your own inclinations

2. and how to protect yourself by properly taking responsibility for your own needs.

(P.S.: click/tap here for a good follow-up series on this topic, namely Follow Your Heart?,  which really covers these issues)
