It’s that time of year again. San Diego Comic Con 2019 is here. Welcome to Episode 293 where we are covering some of the big news from SDCC 2019. This year we are joined by Rebekah Dahling from the Number One Comic Books/The Animated Batcast podcasts as well as special guest Jacob Harmon from Brute Force and Ignorance: A Dungeons & Dragons podcast. This week we are talking some big news that came out from San Diego Comic Con. At the end of the podcast we jump into Marvel News where as we were recording this PHASE 4 dropped in a presentation within Hall H. You will hear as Jake breaks down to Brian, who held out on the Marvel Panel spoilers until the recording, the next phase from Marvel Studios.
Marvel’s new slate includes Disney+ series: Loki, Hawkeye, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As well as an animated What If…? series.
Marvel Studios Phase 4 Films announced: Shang-Chi, Black Widow, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Eternals, Blade and Thor: Love and Thunder.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. In Good Pop Bad Pop this week we’re talking about these movies: The Lion King, Framing John DeLorean, Sword of Trust and The Art of Self Defense. We also talk about the David Harbour mockumentary that is out now on Netflix Frankenstein’s Monster’s Monster, Frankenstein. In trailers we talk about Top Gun: Maverick, It Chapter 2 Final Trailer, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, Snowpiercer on TBS as well as featurette’s for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and Terminator: Dark Fate.
And in News we talk about Halloween gets official sequel dates and titles. A sequel for The Last Starfighter is being written by Gary Whitta. We also talk about the chances of getting a Happy Death Day 3, Cobra Kai Season 3 news and a Ghostbusters 2020 partial cast photo. And we boldly talk about Quentin Tarantino’s proposed Star Trek movie and some of his recent comments about the project as well as the newly dropped Picard trailer.
