Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is now the only hospital in the Panhandle to offer Level I trauma care after achieving the standards required by the Florida Department of Health. It is also one of only 11 hospitals offering Florida Level I trauma care and the only hospital in the country to operate as a Level I trauma center for both Florida and Alabama.
