Episode 295 The Dream Show: Walking in step

Listen Later

Darian Slayton Fleming, from Portland, Oregon, USA, is the author of ‘Defying Death: Living an empowered life with multiple disabilities’. She dreamed that her son, who passed away earlier this year, appeared as a column of silver energy.

In her dream, there are times when she’s stuck without her walker, and other times when she walks in step with her shimmering son in a way she has never been able to do in waking life. And there’s a mystery about unopened gift cards.

After we explore Darian’s dream, we flow into our conversation about her life and work.

Darian Slayton Fleming is a Certified Happiness Trainer and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She’s the author of ‘Defying Death: Living an empowered life with multiple disabilities’ and ‘Speak Up for Yourself: get what you need and feel good about it’.

She describes herself as a mom, a grandma, a widow, a therapist, an advocate, an author, and a deep thinker; a woman with multiple disabilities who doesn’t let anything stop her.

Based in Portland, Oregon, Darian operates a thriving therapy practice in which she encourages clients to find their voices and speak up for themselves, and guides people worldwide to overcome unhappiness through changing core beliefs, thoughts, habits, and behaviours.
