Do you feel the need to please people?  Many of us do.  It's about maintaining our comfort zone.  

Learn more about God.  Trust Him more.  Build your faith.  Silence your fear of stepping out of that comfort zone.

You want to have a closer relationship with God?  Well, one key thing is to read your Bible and meditate on its words.  Trust Him.  Receive His grace.
