A rising leader in progressive politics and an outspoken advocate for Israel and the Jewish community, Representative Hernandez will share her unique perspective on what it means to be a progressive Zionist in the legislature and on campus as a faculty member in public health at Arizona State University. In her job as a State Representative, Hernandez serves Tucson's Third District in the Arizona House of Representatives, where she serves on the Health and Human Services and the Federal Relations committees. She is also a board member at Jewish Family Children’s Services of Southern Arizona and was recently named among the top 50 most influential Jews in the country.
