Episode 3: Bayesian analysis with Teun Teunis

In this episode Teun Teunis, MD, PhD discusses the concept of Bayesian statistical framework and the future of trial design as well as the implications for Hand Surgery.
Teun Teunis currently works as an assistant professor of plastic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He specialises in hand and upper extremity surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, including brachial plexus surgery and complex reconstructive and microsurgery. His research interests are related to his clinical practice, with an emphasis on mental and social health and their effects on patient reported outcomes. He received his medical degree with honours from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. He performed his PhD research at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard Medical School. He returned to the Netherlands to complete his plastic surgery residency at the University Medical Center Utrecht. After which he completed a Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
