All over California, people have been talking about 25-year-old powerhouse vocalist Casey Hensley, who is taking the blues world by storm. Influenced by such greats as Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Janis Joplin, and Candye Kane, she surrounds herself with only the best musicians – which probably is why her band has been nominated as 2018 Artist of the Year by the San Diego Music Awards.   She is joined in the studio by drummer Evan Caleb Yearsley, where they talk with LJ about growing up in musical households, recent successes, the future, and their mysterious connection with Neil Young's latest record.
