On this episode I speak with champion jockey, media personality and zookeeper Chris Symons. We chat about about his life, including his school days, where and why he came to ride horses, struggling with his riding ability early on and going to America for a 6 month riding stint. We also touch on his biggest win which happened to be on his wedding day, and an unusual injury which opened the door to some media appearances. We touch on his Spring Carnival role with Kevin from Seven and how this led to him being involved in the production for 'Ride Like A Girl.' Chris's passion for animals has now translated to The Funky Farm which is run by himself, his wife (Sam) and daughter (Ziva) with the zoo providing opportunities for people with disabilities and the general public to interact with animals. Chris has a very positive outlook on life and he shares his opinions with passion. It's a great listen and I hope you enjoy!
