Dr. Gonzalez is a detribalized Indigenous Xicana of Indé (Apache), Pueblo, Spanish, and Irish heritage with deep roots in New Mexico, who came of age in 1990s Los Angeles. She is a proud transfer student who earned a BA in Gender, Ethnicity, and Multicultural Studies from Cal Poly Pomona and an MA and Ph.D. in Chicana/Chicano and Feminist Studies from UC Santa Barbara. Amber is Associate Professor and Chair of the Ethnic Studies Department at Fullerton College, a certified conflict transformation mediator, an anti-imperialist decolonial feminist, and committed to creating liberatory educational-healing spaces.
