I had the honor of sitting down with Evelyn Allen Johnson to learn about her life, and learned about her lifelong work as a nurse and advocate, the challenges she faced and how she persevered.  

Evelyn has been a nurse for more than 70 of her 92 years, and remains active in that practice today! She also is an accomplished author of a number of high-selling books. Her works include “My Neighbor’s Island”, “Pillar of Salt”, “A Nurses Notes”, and articles like The King Drew Atrocity and Don’t Forget Slavery.
