Let's focus on our own unique skills, gifts and talents. Everyone has something...something pretty amazing, it's time we see it as that.
Show notes: "One of the great tragedies of life, it seems to me, is when a person classifies himself as someone who has no talents or gifts. When, in disgust or discouragement, we allow ourselves to reach depressive levels of despair because of our demeaning self-appraisal, it is a sad day for us and a sad day in the eyes of God. For us to conclude that we have no gifts when we judge ourselves by stature, intelligence, grade-point average, wealth, power, position, or external appearance is not only unfair but unreasonable."
Superpower List (not all inclusive):
The ability to make friends, to smile, to be empathetic, to be spontaneous, the ability to comfort, to listen, to cry, to recognize truth, to ponder, to articulate thoughts, to be cheerful, optimistic, confident, to be courageous, curious, creative, dedicated, determined, generous, helpful, hardworking, honest, humble, the ability to be organized, peaceful, punctual, calm, tolerant, skeptical, loyal, adaptable, being a finisher, having "mom" power, taking naps. All of these are unique gifts that lie within us, we encourage you to be open and to discover and seek your superpowers.
