Richardson talks about how her own background in dance and musical theater influences her process! She also explains the business of music selection and rights procurement. Following the interview with Richardson, Emily, Max and Professor Newman home in on the music in episode 6; Emily discusses her research on the African American singing group, the Ink Spots, and Max deconstructs some of the jazz songs that Watchmen score composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross wrote to accompany this episode. Watchmen episode 6 focuses on the 1930s backstory of the vigilante Hooded Justice---who we learn is Angela Abar's grandfather, the African American NYC policeman Will Reeves.
