Hello and welcome to ITBytes, UCC IT Services official podcast.  The podcast is hosted by IT Services staff members, Noelette Hurley and Deirdre Keane.  Noelette works as an IT Analyst while Deirdre is kept busy as our Communications Coordinator.  In this episode they chat to Peter Flynn. Peter started his career in UCC back in 1984 in computing support and went onto to do many great things over his career, one such thing being creating Ireland’s first website (9th in the world!).  Join us as we chat to Peter about what brought him to UCC, his thoughts on technology and its future, knowing and working with Tim Berners Lee at the birth of the World Wide Web.  Peter retired from UCC in 2018 and shared with us his joy of cooking and the website where his many recipes are available including a very delicious marmalade recipe
