In this episode, Jane talks to Professor Dame Parveen Kumar, emeritus professor at Barts and a consultant gastroenterologist. Dame Kumar is best known as the co-author of the textbook, Kumar and Clark's Clinical Medicine, now in its tenth edition. Jane and Parveen discuss what life what like for Parveen as a child refugee and growing up in India and China before studying medicine in London. Parveen shares her reflections on her medical career, what inspires her and offers some advice on how to lead a team.
