Stephen King has written over 91 novels and only one of them has ever been banned. Rage, released under his pen name Richard Bachman, was written by King in high school and released in 1977. After several violent incidents were connected to the book, King pulled it from the shelves himself, not wanting it to be a possible accelerant.
