Storytelling brings language learning alive and creates a participatory and immersive experience that allows people to enjoy hearing the language in a dynamic, sometimes stylistic and entertaining way.
In this episode, Elliot and Jose unravel the importance of storytelling not only in public speaking but in careers as well as in business. Storytelling can be used to persuade peers, sell to clients, develop new marketing narratives, and even reposition the company amongst the competition. Statistics may not be memorable but stories are. Messages delivered as stories can be up to 22X more memorable than just facts.
Facts tell but stories sell. Storytelling conveys purpose and businesses with purpose are noticed and win the loyalty of consumers. So it's not enough to have a product or service that solves a problem - your company needs to stand out and the best way to do that is to share your unique story. Tell a story that is unique, has an impact and captures the heart of your audience. In the world we live in today, the more stories you tell and master storytelling, the more you will stand out.
