Who is Lane Kawaoka?

• LANE KAWAOKA has been investing for over a decade and now controls 4,800+ units. As the owner of CrowdfundAloha.com, SimplePassiveCashflow.com, and ReiAloha.com, Lane handles finding investment opportunities, analysis, and marketing. 
• Mr. Kawaoka obtained a BS in Industrial Engineer and MS in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the University of Washington. Also,  to an analytical engineering background, Lane has real-world experience in working as a project manager for over $250 million dollars of capital construction projects in both the public and private sectors. 
• Working as a high-paid professional in Corporate America and frustrated by the traditional wealth-building dogma, Lane was compelled to inspire and mentor other working professionals via his Top-50 Investing podcast at SimplePassiveCashflow.com.

Q: What’s your favorite book?

A: I would read mail and The Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller, but I'm not a book guy. 

Do you know the 70- 20- 10 rule? 10% reading books and [listening to] podcasts. 20% comes from working with other people- what you get from others, like your community or a mentor. And the 70% is getting out there and doing it! 

Q: Who do you look up to?

A: Those nameless, multi-millionaire eight-figure investors out there, I just need to look for them. 

Q: If you had a time machine, where would you go and what time would that be? 

A: When I paid off my debt, because I had some extra money, like 20, 30 grand lying around.

What an idiot I was back then! Sophisticated investors pay more, pay attention to their net worth, cash flow, and debt amount with the interest rate.
