Welcome to Episode 3 - The Dynamics of Divorce.

We open up the episode by sharing two of our favorite wines from the Texas Hill Country. 

Deana shares a wine from William Chris's sister winery, Uplift, in Burnet, Texas - The Whitlock.  Whitlock is a highly-rated, rich, and intense red blend, knows for its elegance, and deep fruit flavors like black cherry and blueberry, with deep notes of dark chocolate and graphite. It's a Bordeaux-style blend, featuring Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, that is smooth yet powerful. The name honors the historic Whitlock family, the first settlers in the Hoover Valley region where the vineyard in located.

Becki showcases the Avignon blend from Ab Astris Winery out of Stonewall, Texas. Avignon is a Rhone-syle red wine blend from the Texas High Plains, featuring grapes like Grenache, Mourvèdre, Consult, and Petite Sirah. It is known for its complex red fruit, spice, and earthy notes. It is often compared to a Pinot Noir for its lighter body and fruit-forward profile, but with added complexity from its blend of grapes. 

Divorce can be complicated, emotional, and sometimes even transformative.  Today, we're exploring what makes divorce challenging and in some cases rewarding. We share personal stories and real-life lessons to turn something usually thought of as negative into something positive.  We share how our experiences shaped us in ways we didn't always realize, especially when we started building families of our own.
