The Indian Police Service, more commonly known as the IPS, is an All India Service for policing. The service is not a force itself but provides leaders and commanders to staff the state police and all-India Central Armed Police Forces. Its members are the senior officers of the police throughout the country.

However, the path to the IPS requires one to be extremely diligent and hardworking. You must have a burning desire to make a difference, and you must be able to handle an enormous burden.
