Between 1971 and 1972, 6 young African American girls were raped and murdered in the DC area. The initial investigation went nowhere and when the case was reopened, it was discovered that all of the original case files and evidence had been lost. The "Freeyway Phantom" has never been identified and justice has yet to be served.
