“Who are you?”

I asked the girl standing in the doorway,

“I’m Amber!”

“Sorry, do I know you?”

“I’m Jack’s ex-girlfriend!”

I realised that this was the girl that Jack had dated, the one that had caused him to fight with Michael. 

“I’m looking for Michael.”

“Why? What do you want to speak to Michael for?”

“I just need to speak to him about something.”

“Well I’m sorry you can’t!”

“What do you mean I can’t? You can’t stop me from speaking to him!”

“You’re right, I can’t! But the police can, he’s under arrest right now!”

Amber looked at me, she seemed really shocked. 

“Under arrest? What for? Is there anything I can do to help?”

“You’d better come in and we will explain everything.”

I took Amber through to where Layla was,

“Layla, this is Amber, Jack’s ex-girlfriend.”
