Join us as we meet Katrina Albert. She/They is a 35 year old educator who resides in the Bronx with her partner, cat, and two dogs. Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, she has been living, and teaching middle school, in NYC since 2015.Katrina is passionate about advocating for all marginalized voices, and this, along with her lived experience in a fat body, led Katrina to begin Fat Femmes NYC this past summer. Fat Femmes NYC is an organization for fat femmes and thems in NYC that focuses on building community, advocacy, and fat liberation.
