Listen Later

Welcome to the 25th Hour Podcast – where successful business owners talk about the magic of creating a 25th hour every day! We've all been there - your calendar is in great shape. Your to-do list is done. You are in the zone . . . All your balls in the air are being easily juggled. Then....something changes, and suddenly chaos reigns! This podcast will help you learn to up-level your time management strategies so you can get back in control of your day – and make an extra hour, your 25th hour, a reality - every day.

Today’s guest is Dr. Aprille Trupiano. Dr. Aprille transforms Financial Advisors and Insurance Agents from Solopreneurs into CEO's so they can spend more time with family, play more and STILL make money at the office. She is the creator of the Solopreneur to CEO(tm) system and the Founder of the L5 Institute(r) for Leadership. Dr. Aprille is an Ambassador at Large for the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and a Peace Ambassador for the United Nations/WOLMI.

In this episode, Aprille shares her strategy for doing ALL the things without feeling frazzled, and we discuss why it’s so important to bring integrity to your revenue-generating activities. Tune in to learn how honoring yourself, your health, and your values can invite abundance into every area of your life.

Time Management Strategies for Success:

  • Most Important Things Go Into the Calendar First - “I call it the priority quadrant - the two highest priority-areas are “revenue-generating”, what brings  in the money, and “honoring integrity”, which means honoring your highest values and the promises you make.”
  • Vacations - “Vacations go in the calendar first, and everything else gets scheduled around that - at least two major vacations a year, my preference is if we can get three.”
  • White Space - “People aren’t leaving enough white space in their calendar - that could be traveling from one appointment to the next, or even time between virtual appointments or phone calls. We can get a lot more done by adding in that space.
  • DOD System- “It's either delegate, outsource, or ditch.”
  • 3 High-Value Activities per Day - “Your to-do list should only have three major things on it each day. When you find yourself with 172+ items on your to-do list, you’ve incorrectly designated or defined it.”
  • Parking Lot - “I teach my clients to keep a parking lot - in a notebook, journal, on the wall, in your calendar - wherever it is, keep that parking lot. But every day you only need to accomplish three major things.”

Here’s how Aprille likes to spend her 25th Hour:

  • Family - “Family is the most important thing in the world to me. We have dinners every Sunday, and if it's just us, it's 18 to 20 people - siblings, spouses, children, and the parents.”
