Bourbon, Wine and True Crime

Episode 30: The Stanley Hotel

Listen Later

The historic Stanley Hotel was built in 1909 as an upper-class resort and a health retreat for people suffering from tuberculosis. At the time, no one could guess that it would become iconic for the paranormal activity that happens there. The Stanley even gave inspiration to legendary author of all things horror, Stephen King, to write his 1977 novel The Shining.
