Interview Begins at 13:30

Welcome to a very special episode of Transatlantic History Ramblings. Tonight Mark Stevens joins us to discuss The Broadmoor Asylum. Mark is an archivist who is actually in charge of the Broadmoor documents and he penned the fantastic and fascinating Broadmoor Revealed: Victorian Crime and the Lunatic Asylum.

The criminals, the mentally ill and often times the just misplaced, Broadmoor has had a long and storied history and survives to this day as one of England's  few high-security psychiatric hospitals (three).

This subject is at times painful to discuss, but so very important, not only to remember the past, but to look to how mental illness has been and will be treated as time goes on.

Oh yeah!! And here is the link to the BATBOY article!
