I am very excited to welcome Lisa J Smith, CEO of Smith Co. on the podcast today! We talk about Lisa's first official job at TJ Cinnamons, but at just 10 she was babysitting. We talk all about her amazing career in so many fields and how she got an MBA in her 30s. We talk about how she is all about helping women and BIPOC run companies focus and figure out sales. She shares her top three tips on selling.
1. Sales is a mindset
2. Write down your process! - If what you are doing is not making revenue, how will you know it if it isn't recorded?
3. Offload the non-value adding activities
We talk about how she got into 10s of thousands of dollars of debt by being willing to risk. We talk about how difficult it is for especially women entrepreneurs to start and run businesses. We talk about how important it is to become better on sharing information that is so helpful. Finding out what is out there, and passing it forward.
