Trumpets were central to the celebration of Israel’s feasts, particularly the Feast of Trumpets (or Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year). When the trumpet sounded on Rosh Hashanah, the people were reminded of God’s Word. They were reminded of what He had done for them. It was also a reminder of God’s call to remember His commands and to worship Him alone. The sounding of trumpets had other significance as well. We explore this in our final episode in this first week of 2022.
