Children and teenagers love to talk about themselves!  They are their own favorite subject!  Getting kids to engage with our material can be challenging, particularly toward the end of the school year.  If we can create some personal "buy in", their motivation to engage can increase and we can get the type of engagement we hope for.  Here I share my personal techniques for creating buy in, and I believe we can all find ways to do this no matter what we teach.
