The belief that we are accountable is powerful in moving us to action.
Lance Wallnau believes that with all that he is. There’s more to life than self-pleasure and success. We’ve been put on the planet by our Creator for a reason and each of us is designed by Him to impact the world in specific ways. When we’re able to discover our gifting and step into it, nobody can predict what sorts of world-changing things might come from each one of us. Listen in to this conversation where David asks Lance a variety of questions that unpack his thoughts about how the average person can move into the realms of activity and identity that are uniquely them.
What is one of the greatest obstacles to people in conflict actually being able to come together?
It’s fear of the other person. But it’s usually not that the other person is truly fearful, but that the caricature of them that has been erected in the mind of their opponent is what is fearful. When we are able to overcome the fear of the stereotype of the people on the other side of our tensions and conflicts, we’ll come to see that they are people like us, with inherent value and worth, and our steps toward them could be the best thing we could offer to the dialogue. Find out more about this powerful concept in this episode.
Proximity is power – to change a situation and to change people and cultures.
There’s no way any of us can expect to change a difficult situation if we are unwilling to step into it. It’s impossible to stand on the opposite side of the room from our opponents and expect to get to know them in an authentic or meaningful way. That’s the believe that fuels Lance Wallnau to reach out to the very people he knows are in opposition to him. In doing so, in personal issues and in the international arena, he’s demonstrated that people can come to a place of understanding many times through the act of reaching out. Hear stories of how Lance has accomplished this in some amazing settings on this episode of Crank It Up, with David T.S. Wood.
Do you know what “Level 10” leadership is?
Lance Wallnau describes “Level 10” leadership as the intersection between your gifts and abilities and your passions and desires.
