Today we invite you into the world of Khadija.
Khadija was diagnosed with Congenital Hyperinsulinism. Her pancreas over produced insulin, yes over produced meaning it was making too much!
At 4 mos old she got 95% of her pancreas removed. A pancreatomy. She used a a nasal feeding tube until 2 years old
Over the years her 5% remaining pancreas produced insulin;
From that day forward her life has been identical to someone living with type one diabetes. Her body still produces the remaining enzymes.
