CARBOHYDRATES TO AVOD
Refined Sugars: 
 Avoid manmade, processed sugar (e.g. white sugar, high fructose corn syrup, agave, and fruit juice) 
 
Refined Grains:
Refined Grains are not only bad for your blood sugar but they also stop your digestive system from absorbing minerals
 Packaged Foods: 
 Be cautious about consuming of “foods” with labels as these tend to not be a nutrient dense version of the whole food they are from       (e.g. chips, cereals, cookies, crackers, prepackaged meals, etc.) 2 Consuming processed foods can lead to more nutrient deficiencies  and gastro intestinal distress

While the diets of healthy cultures varied greatly, there were
several commonalities:
They contained no refined or processed foods
They all used some type of animal products, with some raw
Diets were four times higher in calcium and other minerals
and encompassed 10 times the fat‐soluble vitamins than the
modern Western diet
included foods with high enzyme content
Seeds, grains, legumes, and nuts were soaked, sprouted, fermented, 5 or naturally leavened
Fat content varied from 30 to 80% of total calories, but only four 6 percent came from polyunsaturated fatty acids
Diets contained nearly equal amounts of omega‐3 and omega‐6 fatty 7 acids
Diets contained some unrefined salt
Diets made use of bones, usually in bone broths
