The DW2 tank (Durchbruchswagen 2) was a prototype German battle tank developed by the firm Henschel & Sohn at the request of the Reich government, during the Second World War. Considered a heavy tank because of its mass, it was designed to fit into the category of breakthrough tanks at a time when Hitler was seeking to equip his troops with a heavy tank weighing between 30 and 35 tons.
