Among Dayton’s very impressive independent Hip-Hop scene I discovered The Jive Sire a few months back and since he was fresh off the release of his self titled project, I wanted to bring him on the show to discuss it and more. We were able to make it happen this week and had a very chill conversation for episode 310! He talked about the process of putting the album together primarily with producer Don Johnson and what it means to have a full project out after building quietly for the past several years. He told me about his goal to do more shows in the local area and what the city of Dayton has meant to him being able to build a great tribe of collaborators and community that supports the mission he’s on. I most enjoyed hearing about his approach to go at his own pace and continue to lead with intentionality at each new step. I thank him for stopping by this week and am excited to keep up with his upcoming moves that are sure to be ones to watch!
