Today's Quote: “You don’t learn to walk by following the rules. You learn by doing, and falling over.” - Sir Richard Branson, who is an English business magnate, investor, and author. In the 1970s, Richard dropped out of school at age 16 which ultimately led to the creation of Virgin Records. He later founded the Virgin Group, which today controls more than 400 companies in various fields. His entrepreneurial projects started in the music industry and expanded into other sectors, including the space-tourism venture Virgin Galactic, making him a billionaire. Branson is also known for his adventurous spirit and sporting achievements, including crossing oceans in a hot air balloon. In March 2000, Branson was knighted at Buckingham Palace for "services to entrepreneurship". For his work in retail, music and transport (with interests in land, air, sea, and space travel), his taste for adventure and for his humanitarian work, he has become a prominent global figure. In 2007, he was placed in the Time 100 Most Influential People in the World list. In July 2021, Forbes listed Branson's estimated net worth at US$5.7 billion.
