Have you ever stopped to consider that encouragement leads to happiness, which affects not only our horsemanship and motherhood, but also our own wellbeing?
For our horses, we reward them with showing by scratches, treats or pauses in training that what they are doing is right, and we are pleased with them. They seek our joy. Likewise, children seek our happiness and delight when we are happy with them. Encouragement builds up. But what if I told you that you and I operate on the same level? That joy is a reward for us from our Heavenly Father? This episode is more devotional, but comes from the heart, thoughts born as I rode Pilot around my arena.
Have you heard I wrote a new book? It's called "Mama in the Saddle." You can find it on Amazon and the Barnes and Noble website. It's the book I wish I'd had years ago when I bought my first horse and had a newborn and 3 year old at the same time! It's full of encouragement, hope and practical tips. Be sure to check it out!
