"Trust" was quite the buzzword during the World Economic Forum Annual Meetings in 2019 and 2020. Leaders know it is important but most do not understand the true value of trust much less how to cultivate it among their teams. In this episode, Dr. Kim is joined by Mr. Jesse Curry. Jesse shares how to build trust through leadership lessons from his experiences as a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, a commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army, and an Apache Helicopter pilot.
About Jesse: Jesse Curry is a native of Harlan, KY and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he majored in Management with a focus in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation from West Point, he commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army. He served for over seven years as an Apache Helicopter pilot, including time in Kandahar, Afghanistan, as an Intelligence Officer for a rotary-wing task force consisting of over 500 Soldiers and pilots. Following his time as a company and airfield commander, Jesse began his career with a Fortune 50 healthcare company where he currently works as a continuous improvement manager.
In 2019 he founded First-String Leadership, a company whose mission is to serve the founders of rapidly growing companies and junior leaders by helping them develop their leadership capabilities through leadership lessons, training, and coaching.
