Maddy is a first year co-op student in the DeGroote MBA program. Before coming to DeGroote, she studied at the University of Guelph where she completed her BSc in Agriculture Science and MSc in Animal Biosciences. She originally wanted to be a veterinarian before realizing it wasn’t right for her. Throughout her studies and summer jobs, she was able to discover new and exciting career opportunities, and now her goal is to work on the business side of the pet care industry. She is a crazy animal lover, so it's definitely a good fit. Maddy loves horseback riding and she’s even participated in both beef and dairy cattle showmanship competitions. Something interesting about Maddy is that she is an avid dancer! She has trained in many styles from ballet to tap and taught lessons for the past few years. She even competed in a few square dancing competitions!
