On today’s show I’m sharing my interview with Dan Melee the Public Relations Manager for the Penn State University Thon fund raiser.  This amazing program was introduced to me by my daughter who had friends at Penn State.

Started in the 1970’s this student led effort has generated an enoromous amount of money for research and support for children stricken with cancer.  The program culiminates in weekend dance marathon but actually involves year round efforts from Penn State students and alumni.  It’s a wonderful example of people being willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard for the benefit of people they don’t even know.  They are doing it because they believe in the cause and in doing good and paying it forward.
